Karen Smith was a 48 years old female from Dickson, Tennesse and on Sunday July 20th 2008 Karen lost the battle that she was fighting with Cancer. As a tough competitor that Karen was I'm sure she gave that Cancer one hell of a battle as she did with us every week-end. Karen enjoyed watching sports, couponing, contest sweeping and of course we all know Online Fantasy Games. Karen's favorite NASCAR Driver was that of the #24 Jeff Gordon. Karen did get to a few NASCAR Track's which where Atlanta Motor Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Daytona Int'l Speedway and the Nashville Speedway. Karen was one of the 1st Players to join up with the FTCS last year in our 1st year and did Karen ever set the bar high for the rest of us. Recording 12 Top 5's which was a tie with Wendal Ebach for 1st and blowing the rest of us away with 24 Top 10's. I remember trying to catch her with the Top 10's but, never got there with 20. Karen did make the 2007 FTCS Chase and finished 4th. Karen never held the #1 spot in the FTCS Standings in 2007 but, did this year for 7 weeks and at the same time was holding onto the #1 spot in the Lucky Dog Racing Cup Series. I thought that was pretty wild. When the President of the Lucky Dog Racing League Louis Demian contacted me about joining up with the LROC Series, one of the Players that I knew I wanted on the #23 FASCAR Racing Team was Karen Smith. After the last LROC Race Karen was 3rd in the LROC Standing 33 points behide 1st. So, this week-end the #23 FASCAR Racing Team is going out to win the LROC Series Race In the Memory of our Teammate Karen Smith. Karen had 49 Career starts here in the FTCS and never got to see the FTCS Victory Lane but, she came close 4 times, had 16 Top 5's & had 31 Top 10's which both are 1st in the Alltime List of right now. Our thoughts and prayers goes out to Karen Smith's Family during this time. Karen you where one tough competitor and you will truely be missed in every Fantasy League that you ever played in. Just think Karen will now be with some of the best NASCAR Driver's on Raceday watching the races.
