In the FASCAR Thunder Cup Series, it's been 48 races since the last time Danean Hamm has been to Victory Lane. The last time Danean Hamm was to Victory Lane was on March 3rd 2007 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway (UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400), this also marked Danean's 50th Start and Points Leader Philip Hamm finished the LifeLock 400 10th.
Danean Hamm holds off the 2007 FTCS Champion Randy Dorris to get her 1st Win of the 2008 Season & 2nd Career win, this also marked her 4th Top 5 and her 5th Top 10 of the 2008 Season. With this win Danean Hamm jumped up 7 spots in the FTCS Standings and finds herself in the Chase at 10th. Danean now is eligible for the 2009 FASCAR Shootout in Feb 2009. Congratulations on your win Danean Hamm. Randy Dorris with 812 points comes home with 2nd Place. This was Randy's 3rd Top 5 & 8th Top 10 of the 2008 Season. Randy will also move up 2 spots in the standings to 4th. Jason Pruett with 792 points comes home with 3rd Place. This was Jason's 3rd Top 5 & 6th Top 10 of the 2008 Season. With Philip Hamm finishing the LifeLock 400 in the 10th Place this was enuff for Jason Pruett to take over the #1 Spot in the FTCS Standings once again. Michael Williams Sr. with 791 points comes home with 4th Place. After missing the Pocono 500 race last week-end this was a great finish for Michael, to rebound with. Terri Erickson with 778 points comes home with 5th Place. This was Terri's 2nd Top 5 & 4th Top 10 of the 2008 Season. With both Jay Smogolski (33rd) & Jason Mosser (31st) struggling at the LifeLock 400, Terri finds herself in the Top 10 one spot ahead of her hubby Mark in 8th spot. Going to the Michigan Int'l Speedway
June 13, 2008: As we move forward to the LifeLock 400 at the Michigan Int'l Speedway, Jarrod W. from Kentucky will make his FASCAR Thunder Cup Series debut at the Michigan Int'l Speedway. Jarrod W. age 8 will join Austin E. as the only kids playing in the FASCAR Thunder Cup Series of right now. Jarrod W. also will be the 3rd Kid ever to play in the FASCAR Thunder Cup Series. Jarrod W. This week-end there is Five FTCS Players that will be making their 50th Start. They are Bruce Stevens, Danean Hamm, Mitch Zukowski, Philip Hamm and Robert Batz. There are two FTCS Players that sure have some momentum going into this race. These two players are Jay Smogolski & Linda Schmaltz. Jay Smogoski is coming off his first FTCS win, 2nd Top 5 & his 3rd Top 10 of the season. Jay needs to keep this momentum going since he finds himself in the Top 10 for the first time this year in the #8 spot in the standings. Linda Schmaltz is coming of her 2nd Consecutive Top 10. Linda's Avg. Finish in the last 2 races is 6.0. Linda has been struggling this season but, when looking back at last year stats, Linda started her run at the Michigan Int'l Speedway and ended up finishing 11th in the 2007 FTCS Standings. Linda is sitting in the 28th spot right now. Did you Know? That if the Chase Started Right Now that we only have 3 Returning Chasers. They are Philip Hamm, Karen Smith & Randy Dorris. Players to watch for this Weekend: Philip Hamm finished the Citizens Bank 400 last June 3rd and finished the 3M Performance 400 2nd. Philip is coming off a bad finish at the Pocono Raceway where he finished 27th so, he needs to rebound this week-end at the Michigan Int'l Speedway to hold onto his #1 Spot in the FTCS Standings and get his 1st Win of the 2008 Season. Steve Willard after missing the Dan Lowry 400 at the Richmond Int'l Raceway in May, Steve has been fighing his way back up the FTCS Standings and finds himself right now in the 13th Spot in the FTCS Standings. Since missing that race back in May -- Steve's Avg Finish in 4 races is 7.25. Steve is looking to break in to the Top 10 and get himself his 1st Career win at the Michigan Int'l Speedway.
