Going to the Talladega Superspeedway
April 23, 2008: As we move forward to the Aaron's 499 at the Talladega Superspeedway who has the momentum going into this race. Coming off his 4th Career Win Mitch Zukowski needs to feel that he has the momentum going into the Aaron's 499. Mitch Zukowski has Avg. Finish of a 1.7 in the last 3 races and now finds himself in the Top 10. Mitch's best finish at this track came last fall at the UAW-Ford 500 which was 6th. Mitch has a Avg. Finish of a 8.0 at the Talladega Superspeedway.
Did you Know?
That if the Chase Started Right Now Mitch Zukowki would be #1.
Some Players to watch for this week-end is Last Years Winner of the Aaron's 499 Robert Batz. Robert Batz is off to a slow start this year sitting 26th in the FTCS standings but, this is a track that Robert Batz likes, his worsest finish came last fall at the UAW-Ford 500 which was 4th. Robert has a Avg. Finish of a 3.0 at tge Talladega Superspeedway. This would be a great race for Robert Batz to turn his season around at.
Another Player to watch for this week-end is Last Years Runner Up of the Aaron's 499 Randy Dorris. Randy started the 2008 Season kind of slow but, sure has been coming on strong lately and finds himself 5th in the FTCS Standings. Randy has a Avg Finish of a 3.5 at the Talladega Superspeedway. Randy Dorris is going to try and get his 7th Career Win and the 2nd of the 2008 Season.
Another Player to watch this week-end is Last Years Fall Winner Linda Schmaltz of the UAW-Ford 500. Linda Schmaltz sure would like to see a great finish at the Aaron's 499 to get herself back on track in the 2008 Season as she has been struggling so far this season. Linda's Avg. Finish is a 12.5 at the Talladega Superspeedway.
Finally, the last time we raced Karen Smith got herself her 30th Career Top 10 topping the Alltime Top 10 list by 6 over Randy Dorris which has 24 Career Top 10's. The one question on my mind & i'm sure is on Karen Smith's mind is after 43 Starts when is Karen Smith going to get her 1st FTCS win. Karen's Avg. Finish is a 19.0 at the Talladega Superspeedway.

By the Numbers: Talladega
