Congratulations on your selection to the LROC Series for this third season. You have beaten out quite a few people because of your performance in your league last season. Now the best of the best will face off against each other in 12 matchups in the Triple Crown Challenge.
Most of you know what the LROC Series is, but for those that don't, here is a breakdown. The first season of LROC consisted of merely picking 6 drivers from the 4 IROC races that were run in 2006. We faced off against another league called The Cool Pool. For various reasons, we did not continue the 2nd season with the league, but contacted Steve Willard of P10 Select who we raced against in 2007. The IROC series ended, but the LROC series changed its format and continued on with 12 races from the 2 different NASCAR series along with Indycar and Formula One. Mark Blose won the Championship and P10 Select won the league title.
The third season is now upon us and we welcome Wendal Ebach, FASCAR, and his players. This year we have a new format yet again. We have a 12 race schedule starting with the first weekend at Daytona. We will be choosing 6 drivers from the 3 races held on a NASCAR race weekend, Cup, Nationwide and Truck. 3 drivers from the Cup series, 2 from the Nationwide series and 1 from the Truck series. You can check the website for a more in depth view on how the series works.
Once again we will have a Champion driver at the end of the season and the League Championship as well. This year there is a pot of $120.00 donated by the three league owners. The champion will win $40.00 while the other drivers on the winning league will split the remaining $80.00 of the pot.
Congratulations for making it to the LROC series and good luck to all. May the best driver, and best league win!! Once again, the first race will be at Daytona.
