In the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series,
Carl Edwards came out on top of a late race batle with Kyle Busch to score his second straight NASCAR Sprint Cup Series win and consecutive victories in the Sharpie 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

In the Lucky Dog Cup Series,
Eli Schmittou won the Sharpie 500 for her 2nd win of the season. It is the first time that Eli has had multiple wins in one season; her other win came at Indianapolis a few weeks ago. She scored scored 305 points this week to win by a close margin of just 5 points over Matt Sealey.

In the FASCAR Thunder Cup Series,
Robert Preston was going for Back 2 Back wins but, Jay Smogolski had other plans and he takes the Checkered Flag with 774 points -- 5 points better then Robert Preston. It's been 10 races since the Rookie Player Jay Smogolski has been to Victory Lane here in the FTCS. It's also been 5 races since a Rookie Player has seen Victory Lane. The last time Jay Smogolski was to Victory Lane was back in June when he won the Pocono 500.

In the P10 Select Cup Series,
It is hard to believe not since 2005 has two time P10 Select Champion JG4TMR won a race. Only a matter of time came this week when he squelched the rumors that he was washed up by taking the checkers in the Shaprie 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway. The win was his 8th career moving him into a tie for 6th on the all time list. His 790 points narrowly defeated runner-up zeb who tallied 770 points in a strong effort.

Food City 250 Winners:

In the NASCAR Nationwide Series,
Brad Keselowski scored his second career NASCAR Nationwide Series victory Friday night picking up the checkered flag after starting 37th in the Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

In the Lucky Dog Nationwide Series,
Bob Douce finally got his first victory of the year and 4th of his career after winning the Food City 250 at Bristol. Bob really takes well to the short track, this his 4th victory on one. He won at Dover and Phoenix in the Nationwide series and Martinsville in the Cup series. Bob scored 320 points to win the race by a 15 point margin of victory over Randy Cook.

In the P10 Select Nationwide Series,
Hunttothefront found Friday night racing action to his liking as he outdueled the field in the Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway. The win was his 3rd of the season moving him into a tie for 1st on the career wins list. His 663 points were strong 51 points ahead of second place finisher Dupont who tallied up 612 points.

O'Reilly 200 Winners:

In the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series,
Kyle Busch outran Todd Bodine to the finish line in a green-white-checkered finish to win his third NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race of the season in the O'Reilly 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

In the Lucky Dog Truck Series,
Rick Paintin won his 2nd race of the year and third of his career as he takes the victory at Bristol. He is the third member to win 2 races this season and is now tied with Leon Baker for 2nd most wins in the Truck series.
Jordan Hunt finished in 2nd place for his best finish of the year and first top 5. After winning in the last race, Louie Gallardo follows that up with a nice third place victory this week. Matt Sealey and Chip Anglin get their first top 5's of the year as they finish 4th and 5th.
We also have a new points leader as Lou Demian finishes in 6th place to move past Mike McKillop. This is the first time that Lou has been on top of the Truck standings in his career and has now led each of the three series at one point.

LROC Series Race #8 Winners:
|
In the LROC Series,
Entering the final segment of the LROC race #8 weekend, four drivers were tied with the most points. Steve Willard and Jay Smogolski of P10 Select had 481 points as did Lou Demian and Dean Higley of Lucky Dog Racing. However, pulling out a surprising come-behind victory was another P10 Select member, Larry Wagner.
Larry won the first race of Season II, but did not return to victory lane until this weekend. Larry was 30 points behind the four leaders but gained the most points out of all members in the Cup segment. Larry chose the top three finishing drivers, Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick to help him overcome the four other members.
8 races are now complete and 4 remain. It will be over a month before the next race takes place which will be run at Las Vegas and Dover. The league still now begin their strategies as they make the run down the final stretch. See you in September!
