    LROC Series
LROC Series Winners: Wendal Ebach & FASCAR Racing Team
March 28, 2008: Wendal Ebach gets his first LROC victory as he comes out on top of week #4. He also leads his FASCAR team to their third straight victory and jumps over Lucky Dog Racing in overall points. It has been a huge comeback for FASCAR after they started the season short a driver. In the last 3 races they have dominated in points and having 3 different races win. Austin E. started the winning in his very first race at California. Randy Dorris picked up the win in race #3 at Atlanta. The long layoff between races #3 & 4 didn't cool off FASCAR one bit.
Wendal Ebach wanted to join in on the victory lane fun so he scored 965 points with his picks. His Cup drivers were Dale Jr., Denny Hamlin and Jeff Gordon. Wendal picked race winner Tony Stewart and Dale Jr. in the Nationwide segment and winner Ron Hornaday in the truck segment. Picking 2 race winners gave him 10 bonus points which helped him jump to the top of the standings. Jay Smogolski led the standings for the past 3 weeks, but he falls back to 4th place after a disappointing 17th place finish.
The points are now very tight at the top. Wendal leads by just one little point over Dean Higley, four points over Randy Dorris and 6 points over Jay Smogolski.
Larry Wagner of P10 Select finished in 2nd place this week for his highest finish of the year. Larry had plenty of good finishes last year but he's off to a little slower start this season. It's the first top 5 for Larry who moves up into the top 10 in the standings after moving 4 spots.
FASCAR gets two of their drivers in the top 3 spots as Karen Smith finishes third. Karen finished third in the first race of the season and now moves into 5th place with her 2nd top 5.
Lucky Dog Racing gets two drivers into the top 5 as Dean Higley and Stephen DiCaprio finish 4th and 5th. It's the first top 5 for Stephen but 3rd top 5 for Dean who is leading the Lucky Dog Racing drivers in the standings. He's tied with Jay Smogolski for most top 5's so far.
FASCAR had 4 of its drivers finish in the top 10 this week. The only driver to struggle was Randy Dorris who finished in 15th place. Lucky Dog Racing had 3 drivers finish in the top 10 while P10 Select had 2.
In league points scored this week, FASCAR came out on top with 5,116. P10 Select finished ahead of Lucky Dog Racing by 22 points after scoring 4,766.
The points are tightening up between the leagues and the drivers. The next battle will take place on the weekend of May 24th and 25th when the series splits between Mansfield Motorsports Park for the Truck race and Lowe's Motor Speedway for the Nationwide and Cup races.
